The Problems of Ensuring the Efficiency and Competitiveness of the Ukrainian Transport Industry to Meet the Modern Challenges and Threats

In Ukraine, the challenges and threats to the efficient functioning of the transportation industry are intensifying during the war and infrastructure destruction. The need for emergency repairs of the ruined infrastructure hinders the reform of the Ukrainian transportation industry. Furthermore, developing an integrated EU-oriented multimodal transportation system within the "Eastern Partnership" regional network becomes more complicated. This article aims to identify the problems of efficiency and competitiveness of the Ukrainian transportation industry in the context of integration into the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and the construction of a multimodal transportation system. The research employs a systemic analysis methodology to assess the structural indicators of Ukraine's transportation system development. The structure of Ukrainian freight transportation by mode is compared with that in EU countries to reflect differences in a modal split in the context of Ukraine's accession to TEN-T. The results demonstrate a range of problems related to the competitiveness of the Ukrainian transportation industry, which act as barriers to its integration with TEN-T. Institutional, political, and managerial-administrative problems are identified as the leading issues associated with inefficient data collection and processing, management and control functions, decision-making, communication, and interaction among governing bodies. A separate group of issues in Ukraine's transportation industry is linked to the material-technical condition of various types of transportation infrastructure, which affects service quality. Consequently, other problems arise, including the low level of development of intermodal and multimodal transport, transportation logistics, decreased efficiency in capacity utilization, insufficient level of competition in the market for transportation services, and non-compliance with European requirements for access to the transportation services market

Comparative literary analysis of the concept of magic and the role of mages in society in Joanne Rowling’s Harry Potter and Andrzej Sapkowski’s, The Witcher

J.K Rowling og Andrzej Sapkowski er verdenskjente forfattere mest kjent for historien om Harry Potter og The Witcher. Disse bøkene tilhører fantasy-sjangeren litteratur og har blitt ekstremt populære over hele verden av flere grunner. Etter å ha analysert og sammenlignet de to litterære verkene er det tydelig at magi spiller en nøkkelrolle i begge historiene. J.K. Rowling og A. Sapkowski bruker magi på en rekke forskjellige måter innenfor sine respektive fiktive verdener. Quality Management of the Enterprise's Transport and Logistics Processes

У статті висвітлено особливості управління якістю транспортно-логістичних процесів під-приємств. Проаналізовано значення індексу ефективності логістики в Україні у 2016, 2018 та 2023 роках. Проаналізовано обсяги перевезених вантажів за видами транспорту в період2018–2021 років, а також за січень 2022 року. Виділено операції, які має включати управлінняякістю транспортно-логістичних процесів підприємства. Розкрито проблеми, які дастьможливість вирішувати сформована система управління якістю транспортно-логістичнихпроцесів підприємства. Визначено, що важливе значення в управлінні якістю транспортно-логістичних процесів підприємства посідає дотримання стандартів ISO. Висвітлено пере-ваги управління якістю транспортно-логістичних процесів підприємства на основі впрова-дження стандартів ISO.The article highlights the peculiarities of quality management of transport and logistics processes of enterprises. It was determined that the quality management system of the enterprise's transport and logistics processes should be aimed at finding and making decisions that will improve delivery control and help the enterprise quickly and safely ship products. It was found that transport and logistics enterprises must provide quality assurance when implementing new generation technologies to protect their complex processes. The value of the logistics efficiency index in Ukraine in 2016, 2018 and 2023 was analyzed. The volumes of transported goods by types of transport in the period of 2018–2021, as well as in January 2022, were analyzed. It has been established that the trends and opportunities faced by enterprises during the implementation of transport and logistics processes require the urgent implementation of an effective quality management system for such processes.It was found that the main purpose of quality management of transport and logistics processes of enterprises is to properly control the supply flow, and also to ensure that customers receive orders on time, without damage and in accordance with expectations. The operations that should include quality management of the enterprise's transport and logistics processes are highlighted. The problems that will be solved by the formed system of quality management of transport and logistics processes of the enterprise are revealed. It was determined that compliance with ISO standards is important in quality management of the enterprise's transport and logistics processes. According to ISO, enterprises that implement a quality management system to ensure the quality of transport and logistics processes demonstrate their ability to meet the established requirements of the quality management system.The advantages of quality management of the enterprise's transport and logistics processes based on the implementation of ISO standards are highlighted. Обгрунтування доцільності застосування водневих паливних комірок при виробництві електроенергії

The object of research is the process of using a hydrogen fuel cell to generate and accumulate electricity. The study highlights the feasibility of using a hydrogen fuel cell to provide electrical load. The potential of using hydrogen as an alternative energy source was evaluated. SWOT analysis was used as a research method, based on the results of which recommendations were developed. The proposed measures could be taken to increase the use of hydrogen energy as an alternative to traditional energy sources. The use of hydrogen technologies in an administrative building connected to an existing electrical network was analyzed. The economic and environmental aspects of the use of hydrogen fuel cells to meet the demand for electrical load were investigated. Six schemes of energy supply of the building and comparing them to select the optimal solution have been developed. In the study, the assessment tool was the Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources (HOMER) software. The considered schemes were evaluated in accordance with a single generalized indicator. As a result, it was determined that the use of a hydrogen fuel cell could increase the efficiency of the traditional system by 85 %. For renewable energy systems, there was an increase in efficiency of 7 % (for the wind generator) and 10 % (for the photocell). The practical use of the results will contribute to the efficiency of the process of electricity production by equalizing the stability of energy supply in hybrid systems. The economic and environmental assessment conducted demonstrates the prospects of using a hydrogen fuel cell. Досліджено економіко-екологічні аспекти застосування водневих паливних комірок для задоволення попиту на електричне навантаження. Розроблено шість схем енергозабезпечення будівлі та порівняно їх для вибору оптимального рішення. У дослідженні інструментом оцінки стало програмне забезпечення Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources (HOMER). Розглянуті схеми оцінено у відповідності до єдиного узагальненого показника. У результаті було визначено, що використання водневої паливної комірки дає змогу підвищити ефективність традиційної системи на 85 %. Для систем відновлювальної енергії відзначено підвищення ефективності на 7 % (для вітрового генератора) та на 10 % (для фотоелемента). Практичне використання результатів сприятиме ефективності процесу виробництва електроенергії за рахунок вирівняння стабільності енергозабезпечення у гібридних системах.
